Season Takes a Bow 2016

SON finished the 2016 Season in style with an exclusive gathering at a beautiful beach house near the Naples Pier.

BOWpicscollageOn April 23, 2016, friends and members of SON came together to enjoy “Season Takes a BOW” at the lovely beach home of John and Joan Vatterott. Guests were treated to advance information on an upcoming SON project regarding the Shroud of Turin, insider knowledge of the recently-announced deal with Tyndale House Publishers and SON management division client Eric Eichinger for the 2017 release of Eric Liddell’s biography, and the smooth tones of an Orlando-based a capella group.

For sustenance (because sunsets can be so exhausting, right?), attendees had the choice of Southern Lemonade (made with SON President & CEO Rebeca Seitz’s mom’s trick to keep it sweet), red and white wine, or partaking in the debut of LUTHERBRAU, a line of brews from homebrewer Charles Seitz. LUTHERBRAU brews included “Reformation Ale,” “Here I Stand Stout,” and “I Can Brew No Other Brown Ale.” Delicious food was prepared and served by Rod Rinaldi, owner of La Bamba Mexican Restaurants.

Veteran film producer FRED FONTANA (former producing partner of Jerry Weintraub) made the trek across the country from LA, meeting up with first-time Executive Producer and former federal prosecutor LARRY SCHAUF, to share information about the in-development feature film THE TRIAL OF THE SHROUD. Rev. ERIC EICHINGER and his wife slid between the raindrops and storm clouds from their home in Clearwater to give the inside scoop on his upcoming biography of Eric Liddell (whose life story inspired the film CHARIOTS OF FIRE) with Tyndale House Publishers and feature film of the same subject, which bears the working title ABSOLUTE SURRENDER.

Guests wore the SON colors of Blue, Orange, or White (BOW). The laid-back atmosphere (invitees were told a casual dress code would be strictly enforced – bonus points for flip flops), warm rays of the setting sun, and crowd of creatives made for a truly spectacular end to the Naples Season.
