Film (Shelter)

Over 7,000 animals are euthanized in American shelters every single day. But statistics don’t awaken the human heart. Stories do.

CLEA DUVALL (“Argo,” “Veep,” “Girl, Interrupted”) stars as “Petra” in this feature film about a prison inmate assigned to work detail in an animal shelter. There Petra discovers a population much like her own: outcasts deemed unacceptable for society. In the shelter, unadoptable animals are euthanized…a reality Petra finds entirely intolerable.
